💬 Secure Communication
Best practices for secure communication with vendors on TorZon Market.
Message Encryption
All sensitive communications on TorZon Market should be PGP-encrypted before sending. This means even if the market database is compromised, your messages remain unreadable. Copy the vendor PGP public key from their profile, import it into your PGP client (Kleopatra on Windows, GPG on Linux/Tails), compose your message in a text editor, encrypt it to the vendor key, and paste the encrypted output into the market messenger.
OPSEC in Messages
Never include personally identifiable information in any message, even encrypted ones. Use a pseudonym, never your real name. Do not reference specific dates, locations, or personal details that could identify you. Avoid writing patterns that could be linked to your other online identities (favorite phrases, unusual spelling). Keep messages brief and transaction-focused. Never discuss illegal activities explicitly — use the context of the listing.
Message Templates
Create reusable encrypted message templates for common communications: initial contact with vendors, providing shipping addresses, order confirmations, and dispute communications. For shipping addresses, use a standardized format that includes only the essential delivery information. Pre-encrypting templates saves time and reduces the risk of accidentally sending sensitive data in plaintext. Store your templates in the KeePassXC notes field for easy access.
